[MARIN MCCARTY] Female, legal 18/18+ to play 17-25, Irish-American. Contracted polio at 8 years old, leaving her physically disabled, though ambulatory with crutches. Bullied throughout her teen years due to her disability, she didn’t let it stop her. She is fearless and determined. Intelligent, curious, witty, sarcastic, and sharp, but struggles with vulnerability and trust. She has been cheated of her destiny as a bad girl – but only so far. A product of the Beat Generation, Marin learns of her father’s possible involvement in a secret government conspiracy involving mind control experiments and teams up with a Black journalist to attempt to uncover the truth.
